New Orleanians, still sad about the loss to the Bears, are lining up behind their hometown boy. I went to get a king cake for Krewe de Vieux at Haydel’s on the Airline Highway. My friend Eve Troeh wrote a remembrance of Helen Hill. When I listen, I can’t even hear Eve’s words, really, just the pain in her voice.
